Counselling for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Colleges
Butterfly Counselling Services provides specialised counselling for college students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental differences.
We have many years of experience providing counselling therapy for children, adolescents, young people, parents, families and adults with a specialist understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental differences. This means that we understand the different ways that young people communicate and the different behaviours they may use to communicate.
We understand people’s differences, helping autistic people to navigate life in our neurotypical society in a way that keeps stress and anxiety under control. This can help to prevent long term mental health conditions.
Each young person is unique and because of this we integrate various therapeutic models including person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR, creative work, transactional analysis, gestalt therapy.
